Introduction

PayPal Express Checkout allows your customers to pay with the credit available on their PayPal account. Additionally, your customers can pay by credit card when the balance is not sufficient. PayPal Express Checkout is a good alternative for starting webshops that are not ready yet for a direct merchant account with creditcard. PayPal Express Checkout allows you to start immediately.

What do you need?

To start using Paypal Express Checkout, you need to create a business PayPal account. If you don't have an account yet, you can use this link to create one

Retrieve API credentials


After creating a business PayPal account, you need to enable API access. You can simply do this trough the steps below:

Step 1: login to your account


After logging in click on all tools in the tools menu.



Step 2: API credentials


Find the API credentials box and click on Open.



Step 3: Request API credentials or view API signature


Here are two options given: ‘Grant API permission' and Request API credentials (or View API Signature if it is already set, then go to step 5). You should choose Option 2.

Stap 4: Request API signature


Choose option Request API signature (arrow 1) next click Agree and Submit (arrow 2).

Step 5: forward the API-signature


After successfully completing all the steps you will see on your screen the API data after you press "show". With this data we are able to activate PayPal on our gateway for you. You will need to sent us all the API details.
